A message from Dr. David N. Bardwell:
"Dear Friends,
As some of you may already be aware I am sad to say I will be stepping away from patient treatment after 32 years of service to the community. In November of 1989, when we first opened the doors to the practice, I could not have imagined how great a ride it would be. I have genuinely enjoyed getting to know my patients and feel a real sense of sadness at departing and missing those provider/patient relationships.
I cherish every memory and feel humbled to have known you during my professional clinical career. I will, when the need arises, be involved in a non-clinical capacity and provide help with re-care Periodic and Comprehensive exams during staff shortages. I will not, however, be providing restorative or critical care. I am proud to say, I enjoyed providing you with the best Dental Care possible and appreciate your many years of support.
For those of you that I have not been able to tell personally, I apologize. The decision did not come cavalierly, but most sincerely, stepping away at retirement age to pass the baton to a new generation of quality dental providers. It truly is their time!
For those of you that may have on-going treatment with me, please rest assured that I have made provision in the practice for your treatment to be completed. Your continuing care going forward will be entrusted to Dr’s Cardarelli, Schweitzer and Refahi. Due to the high demand for quality Dental Care, our present providers are most often booking appointments 4-8 weeks out. We hope to shorten that timeline significantly by bringing in another provider sometime in the new year.
I would like to thank our talented team, all the dental staff that have moved on, as well as our fantastic patients past and present. Your loyalty and support have really made my time rewarding and heart-warming. I wish you all good health & happiness going forward.

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Dr. Bardwell for his impact in my development from student to provider and my personal growth as a dentist. I met Dr. Bardwell during my training at Tufts and I am happy (and shocked!) to say that we have known each other for nearly 12 years! During that time he has demonstrated how to provide for people with care, compassion and patience. I know I still have a lot to learn from "Dr. B" and I know our friendship will allow me those opportunities in the future. For now, I thank him, and I thank all our patients for entrusting myself and our fantastic team with their care going forward!
